CTIA Wireless is one of the largest telecommunications tradeshows in the United States. Year in and year out, the major mobile phone manufacturers and carriers sponsor evening functions, and typically compete for the same crowd—their key customers.
LG traditionally builds a sizable floor presence to showcase its complete range of wireless products. 361° was tasked to build brand buzz on and off the show floor while showcasing the brand's music and entertainment platform. Additionally, we were challenged to surpass the high bar set for delivering the definitive event at CTIA New Orleans in 2005, which featured Barenaked Ladies.
In 2006, 361° took over an amazing venue just off the main strip in Las Vegas. We held LG Live at ICE, an exclusive after hours club with 17,000 square feet, a 40-foot ceiling, and a super-charged party atmosphere. Brand integration included product-enhanced décor, branded videos, lighting, staging and uniformed staff.
361° researched, recommended and secured A-List entertainers, Counting Crows, DJAM, and Cirque du Soleil performers to interact with guests throughout the club. To enhance the experience for tradeshow attendees, 361° leveraged the talent contracts to provide many value-added elements. These included image usage for event invites/website, in-booth autograph sessions and VIP meet and greet.
The continued success of LG Live launched us to CTIA Orlando in 2007, where Foo Fighters took a break from recording their Grammy winning album to entertain LG’s invited guests. This was truly a rocking experience that solidified 361's reputation as a core experiential partner in the years to follow.
